Hi guys, so I bought a macbook pro about 1 year ago to a friend of mine and it always worked great. Last night I booted up my mac and i was asked for a pin that I never heard of. After searching i booted my mac while pressing cmnd option p r keys and another password was asked, a firmware password. I ve heard that I just need to remove or add a ram stick but i dont know how to. Now, can someone help me and teach me how can I get into my mac? Thanks folks!!!
I would recommend you contact your friend to find out what the password was. The RAM trick only works with the older firmware if you upgraded to Mavericks you’ll need to bring proof of ownership of the system to the Apple Store for them to clear it.
