Hello and sorry for asking so many question I am just new and trying to learn as fast I can, so my question is we have a phone 11 pro with problem was detected with the TrueDepth camera. Face ID has been disabled., and I know that 90% of the issue is to desolder the chip to another flex cable with face I’d corrector, but if I use a flex cable from another iPhone 11 pro and just read and write the code it will still work? Or the specific chip is bound to mother board phone
The face Id and front camera module, is similar to the home button on older iphones, in that they are paired to the logic board of the phone they came out of. There is no way to replace it and keep face Id, as only apple has the tools to pair it to the phone. Though depending on what’s broken on it you might be able to repair the original module. Here is a guide that might be helpful. iPhone 11 Pro Front Camera Replacement Without Losing Face ID
